About INVEGA SUSTENNA® (paliperidone palmitate)

A long-acting, once-monthly* medicine
INVEGA SUSTENNA® is a medication given by an injection monthly by your doctor—or another healthcare professional on your Treatment Team—in the arm or buttocks.
Why a once-monthly medicine?
While no medication can guarantee that you won’t miss a dose, you’ll know that once you’ve received your injection of INVEGA SUSTENNA®, the medicine is in your system and being gradually released over 4 weeks.
It also means you’ll have one less pill to think about taking every day.
One medicine for multiple symptoms
Schizoaffective disorder has symptoms of both schizophrenia and a mood disorder.✱✱ INVEGA SUSTENNA® helps manage these symptoms. In a clinical trial, 85% of people treated with INVEGA SUSTENNA® did not have a relapse of their symptoms for 15 months.
You may experience some side effects with INVEGA SUSTENNA®. Not all people experience the same side effects. The most common side effects of INVEGA SUSTENNA® include: injection site reactions; sleepiness or drowsiness; dizziness; feeling of inner restlessness or needing to be constantly moving; abnormal muscle movements, including tremor (shaking), shuffling, uncontrolled involuntary movements, and abnormal movements of your eyes.
